2. You read the actual mark scheme for that question — the same document examiners used.
3. You decide the mark, then justify it marking point by marking point.
4. Then you see how your marking compares — and where you were generous or harsh. Most accurate marker wins.

Why marking someone else's answer works

When you mark your own work, you read what you meant to write. When you mark someone else's answer with the mark scheme open, you're forced to do what examiners do: hunt for the exact phrase that earns the point, and refuse the mark when it isn't there. Students who've done this a few times stop writing vague answers — because they've seen, from the marker's chair, exactly how vague answers die. It's the part of Science Street that teachers tell us makes the mark scheme finally click.

Every answer is a real student response published in AQA's own examiner reports, and every mark scheme is the genuine AQA document for that paper — nothing paraphrased, nothing invented. There's a growing library of these real answers across Biology, Chemistry and Physics questions, 2018–2025.
