Often you have to read a value between marked points. On a straight section the value changes steadily, so you can work out an in-between point by proportion.
How to do it — step by step
Find two points you know on the line.
On a straight line the change is steady — read off the value in between.
Worked example
A line runs steadily through (0 s, 0 cm³) and (10 s, 40 cm³).
At 5 s it is halfway → 20 cm³
