Charge = current × time: Q = I t. Current in amps (A), time in seconds, charge in coulombs (C).

How to do it — step by step

  1. charge = current × time.
  2. Q = I t. (Rearrange: time = charge ÷ current.)

Worked example

A 3 A current flows for 10 s.
Q = 3 × 10 = 30 C
