Power (P = E ÷ t)

Power = energy transferred ÷ time (or work done ÷ time). Measured in watts (W) — one watt is one joule per second.

How to do it — step by step

  1. power = energy transferred ÷ time.
  2. P = E ÷ t. (Rearrange: energy = power × time.)

Worked example

A motor transfers 600 J in 4 s.
P = 600 ÷ 4 = 150 W
