Density (ρ = m ÷ V)

Density = mass ÷ volume — how much mass is packed into a volume. Units kg/m³ (or g/cm³).

How to do it — step by step

  1. density = mass ÷ volume.
  2. ρ = m ÷ V. (Rearrange: mass = density × volume.)

Worked example

300 g of liquid fills 250 cm³.
ρ = 300 ÷ 250 = 1.2 g/cm³
